Tea and Coffee

July 2, 2010 by Susan

I’m reading How To Be Idle just now. I’m inspired to take afternoon naps and spend more time sitting in the garden chatting and relaxing with family and friends. Also to spend more time drinking tea in the garden.

Martin has made me a yummy latte (coffee is not approved of in the How To Be Idle book, but I don’t care) with just the right amount of, hard to find, gingerbread syrup.

This year we have taken to drinking tea out of a teapot and sometimes even using real tea not tea bags. This is despite years of thinking that Martin’s parents doing so when they were just using tea bags was a waste of time. Now the Idler approves of that – taking time over tea is lovely – a chance to sit and refresh yourself – and it’s even better when shared.
