I loved my sling and still now miss using it. I came across these photos of Jonathan and me when he was really at the limit of what I could cope with carrying. I wish I had it when the girls were small, I’m sure it would have been much easier to have had a sling and a single buggy that traipsing around with the huge double buggy.
This sling was a life saver when Jonathan had dreadful eczema. I could hold his hands as we walked around to stop him scratching. I frequently nursed him in the sling which was so convenient, I didn’t have to stop on walks with the girls just fed him on the move.
We just made fudge.
We (Bex and Susan) had a go last night and it came out completely crystallised.
I decided I’d reboil it and see if that helped but it just stayed very crystallised. I added some butter and that didn’t help, so I gave it a swig of milk. It went very very runny and I thought “Oh well it’ll make caramel sauce”. I boiled it anyway and then stirred it, then I turned it out.
It’s set! It tastes like yummy fudge. Actually it rather has the texture of tablet but it tastes great.
