Life has been quite busy and stressful for us since about last June/July really. We have managed to clock up 6 p/t or self employed jobs between us, we’ve been trying to fight the Badman stuff and obviously HE , do Learning Zone and church things as well as normal stuff with our lives.

Ruth has been wanting to do some felting for some time and yesterday was the day we made it happen. She said she wanted to make something “useful” not just a flat piece of felt, so beads were it.

We have learnt that pretzels are traditionally made during Lent. Apparently some monks used to pray by putting their hands on their shoulders, left hand to right shoulder and vice versa. They made pretzels to remind them of the shape the arms made and hence to be a reminder to pray more during Lent.

The girls are definitely turning native, they enjoy countryside pursuits these days, you wouldn’t think they had a Londoner for a mother.
