Making an exhibition of ourselves

October 29, 2007 by Martin

Today saw the launch of the Isle of Wight Learning Zone’s “Life Zones” exhibition. The pictures show Susan examining the work, Bex with Harry looking bored under one of the photographs they helped create, and Jonathan looking rather pleased with his effort. Unfortunately no pic of Ruth as my batteries died before I pinned her down….

If you want to see the exhibition, just drop into Ryde Library, where you will find it in the gallery upstairs. People of a nervous disposition be aware, that picture hanging above Bex is big, and might frighten small children or little furry animals.

Cardboard Boat Race

July 23, 2007 by Rebekah

In our homeducation group we hold a cardboard boat race. We haven’t had one for two years so we were delighted when we heard there was going to be one this year!!! The idea is that you make a boat out of a cardboard box, put a small child in it and race in trhe sea. Jonathan (5) went in the boat this year!!!

This is a picture of our boat HMS giraffe (our friend called it a mini TARDIS)
Unfortunately Dad had a go in the boat and it ended up like this
We had a great time. We didn’t win 🙁 but we didn’t lose either

Carisbrooke castle

June 25, 2007 by Rebekah

On Friday we went to a story telling thing at Carisbrooke castle. The story teller was good and i learnt some interesting things. Ruth was dressed up as a medieval hoodie (brewer) 🙂
We looked round the castle, and stroked the very cute donkeys afterwards!!

Will add photo asap!!!
